SUPPLEMENTARY NUTRITION PROGRAMME :
- Year of Commencement : 1975 – 1976 – in Tamil Nadu ; 1994– 1995– in Kanyakumari District
- Objective of the Scheme : To improve nutrition and health status of children under 6 Years, pregnant and lactating mothers and adolescent girls. To achieve the status of Malnutrition Free State and Universalisation of Integrated Child Development Services in the State under ‘Mission Mode’.
- Number of Units : At the rate of 100 Centres per project covering population of one lakh
