📖 Description:
Udaygiri fort is located 24 kms. away from Kanniyakumari. This fort was built by the king Marthanda Varma. During 1741. Delennoy was one of the 24 soldiers, taken as prisoner by king Marthanda Varma, when the king defeated Dutch Colachel in 1741. Delennoy Soon joined the King’s army and became a trusted General, training the Indian Soldiers in the European Art of War.
